The man stared blankly at the page before his eyes, his mind unable to conjure anything. He tried to visualize events that would flow with what came before, but nothing fit. Like an ill fitting puzzle piece. The man stared so long at the page he could feel it staring back, its emptiness, blankness, seeing into his being. The man tried distancing himself from the work, hoping inspiration would give a surprise visit like it normally did.
Days went by. Then weeks. The man carried on with his business. Until inspiration finally struck. An outpouring not unlike an opening flood gate. He poured his creativity into his craft, creating more than he had in weeks, maybe even months.
What once was blank, was now a carefully crafted tapestry.
